About Project

A Museum Reborn.

Following two years of intensive restoration work, Egypt's Ministry of Antiquities has reopened the Museum of Islamic Art, Cairo. Home to one of the world's greatest collections of art from the Islamic world, the Museum was severely damaged by a bomb blast on January 24, 2014.
